Afghanistan Flag Vector PNG vector in SVG, PDF, AI, CDR format

The national flag of Afghanistan consists of three equal vertical stripes of black, red, and green color, with a white emblem in the center. The emblem features a mosque with a pulpit and flags on either side, below the mosque are Eastern Arabic numerals for the solar year 1298 (1919 in the Gregorian calendar, the year of Afghan independence from the UK), which is written in white.

The black stripe represents the dark past of Afghanistan, the red stripe represents the blood shed for independence and freedom, and the green stripe represents hope for a bright future. The white emblem represents Afghanistan as an Islamic state.

The current design of the Afghan national flag was adopted on August 19, 2013, by President Hamid Karzai. It replaced the previous flag, which had been in use since 2002, following the overthrow of the Taliban regime.
