The University of Denver has updated its visual identity with new fonts, a larger color palette and a "modernized" logo.

The University of Denver (DU) has updated its logo as part of a brand refresh.

The University of Denver said its updated visual identity includes new fonts, an expanded color palette and a modernized logo featuring the interlocking letters D and U.

DU launched a "multi-year, multi-phase evolution" of its brand in September. DU said the new brand unifies the University's programs and its two campuses.
According to the University, the new brand and logo are the result of more than two years of research and market studies.

"The findings pointed to the need for a single logo that would enable all campus units to leverage the brand equity of the institution and elevate the institution as a whole in the eyes of key audiences," it said in a press release.

The new University of Denver logo features more rounded lines and an equal use of gold and red colors.
