Commodore Amiga is a line of personal computers that was produced by Commodore International from 1985 to 1996. The Amiga was designed as a high-performance multimedia computer, capable of advanced graphics, sound, and video capabilities. The Amiga was ahead of its time in terms of multimedia capabilities and was popular among video and audio professionals, graphic designers, and gamers.
The Amiga computers were based on the Motorola 68000 microprocessor and featured custom chips designed to handle advanced multimedia capabilities. They also had a multitasking operating system called AmigaOS, which allowed users to run multiple programs simultaneously.
The Amiga line of computers included several models, such as the Amiga 1000, Amiga 2000, Amiga 3000, and Amiga 4000, as well as various portable and console versions. The Amiga was widely regarded as a breakthrough computer in terms of multimedia capabilities, but Commodore eventually went bankrupt and the Amiga line was discontinued in the mid-1990s.
