The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is a youth development organization in the United States, and one of the largest Scouting organizations in the world. The organization was founded in 1910 and its mission is to "prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law."

The BSA offers a wide variety of programs and activities for young people, including:

Cub Scouting: for boys in grades K-5, which focuses on developing character, fitness, and citizenship
Boy Scouting: for boys ages 11-17, which focuses on outdoor activities and personal development through a program of advancement
Venturing: for young men and women ages 14-20, which focuses on outdoor and adventure activities, leadership development, and personal growth
Sea Scouting: a program for young men and women ages 14-20 that focuses on boating and water activities.

BSA also offers Exploring, a career-oriented program that aims to give young people exposure to a variety of fields and provide them with the opportunity to develop leadership skills and make informed career decisions

Boy Scouts of America requires members to subscribe to a Scout Oath and a Scout Law which deals with values such as trustworthiness, loyalty, helpfulness, and respect. The organization also encourages community service and participates in a variety of conservation projects.

The BSA has faced controversies throughout its history, most notably issues related to the inclusion of LGBTQ+ members and leaders, and abuse cases within the organization. The organization has implemented policies to address these issues, such as allowing openly gay youth to participate since 2013 and welcoming all gender in 2020.
