The Atlanta Braves are a professional baseball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are a member of the National League (NL) East division. The Braves have a long and storied history, having been founded in 1871 as the Boston Red Stockings. They have won the World Series three times, in 1914 as the Boston Braves, in 1957 as the Milwaukee Braves, and in 1995 as the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves play their home games at Truist Park, which opened in 2017. They have a passionate fan base and a strong rivalry with the New York Mets. Some of the notable players to have worn a Braves uniform include Hank Aaron, Chipper Jones, Greg Maddux, and Tom Glavine.
The Braves have made the postseason numerous times, including a streak of 14 consecutive division titles from 1991 to 2005. They have also had a number of successful seasons in recent years, making the postseason in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
