Audi is a German luxury car manufacturer that was founded in 1909 by August Horch. The company's name is derived from the Latin translation of Horch's last name, which means "listen" in German.
Audi's first car, the Audi Type A Sport-Phaeton, was produced in 1910. The car was powered by a four-cylinder engine and featured a number of advanced design features for its time, including an electric starter, which was a significant improvement over the hand-cranked starters that were common in most cars at the time.
