The Dakar Rally Telefonica 2003 was the 25th edition of the Dakar Rally, an annual off-road endurance rally that takes place in South America, Africa, and Asia. The rally was sponsored by Spanish telecommunications company Telefonica, and took place from January 1 to 19, 2003.

The rally covered a distance of approximately 9,000 kilometers, starting in Marseille, France, and ending in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The course took competitors through a variety of terrains, including rocky mountains, sandy deserts, and winding tracks, and included both timed stages and transport stages.

The rally featured four different categories of vehicles: motorcycles, quads, cars, and trucks. Competitors included both professional drivers and amateurs, with participants from around the world.

The overall winner of the 2003 Dakar Rally was Japanese driver Hiroshi Masuoka, driving for Mitsubishi. This was Masuoka's second Dakar Rally win, having previously won in 2002. Other notable winners included Fabrizio Meoni of Italy, who won the motorcycle category, and Stephane Peterhansel of France, who won the car category.

The Dakar Rally Telefonica 2003 was notable for its challenging terrain, as well as for the high number of retirements among competitors. Despite these challenges, the rally was considered a success, and helped to raise the profile of off-road endurance racing around the world.
