Die Rechte (The Right) is a far-right political party in Germany. It was founded in 2012 by former members of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD), and it espouses a nationalist, anti-immigrant, and anti-Semitic ideology.
Die Rechte has been widely condemned by mainstream political parties and civil society groups for its extremist views and actions. It has been banned in several German states, and its members have been involved in violent incidents and confrontations with law enforcement.
Despite its controversial nature, Die Rechte has managed to gain some level of support, particularly in eastern Germany. It has won seats in several local and regional elections, but it has never been a major force in national politics.
