Edson Queiroz Group started its activities in the metallurgy sector with two companies: Tecnomecânica Norte – Tecnorte (manufacturer of LPG containers), founded on October 23, 1963 and Estamparia e Esmaltação Nordeste Esmaltec (manufacturer of domestic stoves), founded in December of the same year. In March 1984, the two companies undergo a merger and are incorporated by Tecnomecânica Esmaltec Ltda. In 2002 the factory is transferred to Maracanaú and Esmaltec becomes a corporation (S/A).
