Excel Airways was a British charter airline that operated from 1994 to 2008. The airline was based at London Gatwick Airport and offered scheduled and charter flights to various destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America. Excel Airways was known for its low-cost flights and was popular among budget travelers.
However, in 2008, Excel Airways went bankrupt due to financial difficulties and ceased all operations. Its assets were acquired by another British airline, Flyglobespan, which also later went bankrupt. Today, the Excel Airways brand no longer exists, and its former routes and operations have been taken over by other airlines.
