The Fordham Rams are the athletic teams representing Fordham University, a private Jesuit research university located in New York City. The Rams compete in NCAA Division I sports as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, except for football, which competes in the Patriot League.
Fordham fields teams in a wide range of sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer, track and field, cross country, swimming and diving, tennis, golf, volleyball, and softball. The Rams have a long and storied athletic tradition, with notable accomplishments including a national championship in football in 1929, several NCAA tournament appearances in men's and women's basketball, and numerous conference championships in a variety of sports.
