On May 14, 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery announced the return of HBO Max branding that was previously rebranded as Max two years ago on May 23, 2023. The rebranding was announced during its Upfront presentation in New York City and also occured because WBD wants to emphasize quality over quantity of programming and storytelling. The signs of returned HBO Max was preceded by the change of color of Max logo from blue to black and white on March 30, 2025. The returned HBO Max branding is set to be rolled out globally in summer 2025.
