Expedition 61 was a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) that took place from April 17, 2020 to October 2, 2020. It was the 61st expedition to the ISS and included six members: two Russian cosmonauts, two American astronauts, and two Japanese astronauts. The crew members were:
During their mission, the crew members conducted a variety of scientific experiments and carried out maintenance tasks on the ISS. They also welcomed several cargo resupply missions and participated in spacewalks to repair and upgrade the station's systems. The expedition also saw the first operational mission of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, which carried two NASA astronauts to and from the ISS as part of the Demo-2 mission.
