Kansas City Current is a professional women's soccer team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The team was founded in 2020 and is a member of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), which is the top women's soccer league in the United States.
The Current play their home games at Legends Field, which is located in Kansas City, Kansas. The team's colors are light blue, navy blue, and white.
The Kansas City Current was formed after the previous NWSL team in Kansas City, Utah Royals FC, was sold and moved to Kansas City. The team has a talented roster of players, including several United States national team members, such as Abby Dahlkemper, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Kristie Mewis, as well as international players such as Iceland's Dóra Björt Hjálmarsdóttir and Canada's Desiree Scott.
