The Laval Rocket are a professional ice hockey team based in Laval, Quebec, Canada. They are a member of the American Hockey League (AHL), the top development league for the National Hockey League (NHL). The Rocket were founded in 2017 as the St. John's IceCaps and are an affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. They play their home games at the Place Bell.
The Rocket have a dedicated fan base and are known for their skilled and fast-paced style of play. The team has made the playoffs in each of its first three seasons in the AHL, including a trip to the second round in 2020.
