The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are a professional ice hockey team based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The team is a member of the American Hockey League (AHL) and serves as the top minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Phantoms were founded in 1996 and have played in Allentown since 2014, when they moved from Glens Falls, New York.
The Phantoms play their home games at the PPL Center, which is located in downtown Allentown. The team has made the playoffs several times in its history, but has not yet won a division or conference championship. Some notable players who have played for the Phantoms include Travis Konecny, Ivan Provorov, and Carter Hart, all of whom have gone on to successful careers with the Philadelphia Flyers.
