The Maine Mariners are a professional ice hockey team based in Portland, Maine, United States. They are a member of the ECHL (formerly known as the East Coast Hockey League), a professional minor league with teams in the United States and Canada. The Mariners were founded in 2018 and are an affiliate of the National Hockey League's (NHL) New York Rangers. They play their home games at the Cross Insurance Arena.
The Mariners have a dedicated fan base and are known for their skilled and hard-working style of play. The team has made the playoffs in its first two seasons in the ECHL.
