The Manitoba Moose are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They are a member of the American Hockey League (AHL), the top development league for the National Hockey League (NHL). The Moose were founded in 1996 and are an affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets. They play their home games at the Bell MTS Place.
The Moose have a dedicated fan base and are known for their skilled and hard-working style of play. The team has made the playoffs in several seasons, including a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2009.
