Mudvayne was an American heavy metal band from Peoria, Illinois. The band was formed in 1996 and consisted of lead vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie, and drummer Matthew McDonough. Mudvayne was known for their unique and experimental approach to heavy metal, which included elements of progressive metal, thrash metal, and alternative metal.
Mudvayne released their debut album, "L.D. 50," in 2000, which was well-received by critics and fans. The album spawned several successful singles, including "Dig" and "Death Blooms," and helped establish Mudvayne as a major player in the heavy metal scene. The band's follow-up albums, "The End of All Things to Come" (2002) and "Lost and Found" (2005), were also successful, and helped solidify Mudvayne's place in the heavy metal world.
Mudvayne was known for their elaborate and distinctive stage performances, which often included face paint, masks, and other costumes.
