Musicland was a chain of retail stores that specialized in music and entertainment products, including CDs, DVDs, and video games. The company was founded in 1955 and was based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
At its peak, Musicland operated more than 1,300 stores under several different brand names, including Sam Goody, Media Play, and Suncoast Motion Picture Company. The stores were known for their wide selection of music and entertainment products, as well as their knowledgeable staff and emphasis on customer service.
