Paul Rand was an American graphic designer, best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, c, and ABC. He was an advocate for minimalism and simplicity in design, and his work played a major role in the development of the American corporate identity. Rand was also a writer, teacher, and lecturer, and his books and articles continue to be widely read and studied in the design community. He passed away in 1996.
