The Renault Alliance was a compact car produced by the French automaker Renault in partnership with the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1983 and 1987. It was sold in the United States under the AMC brand name.

The Renault Alliance was based on the Renault 9, a popular European car, but was modified for the American market. It was available in several different body styles, including a two-door convertible, a two-door sedan, a four-door sedan, and a five-door hatchback.

The car was well-received by consumers and was praised for its fuel efficiency, handling, and affordability. It was also the first American-built car to offer a driver's side airbag as an option.

Despite its initial success, the Renault Alliance was eventually discontinued in 1987 due to declining sales and financial difficulties faced by both Renault and AMC. However, the car remains a cult classic among car enthusiasts and collectors today.
