Rovio Entertainment Corporation, commonly known as Rovio, is a Finnish video game company that was founded in 2003. Rovio is best known for creating the mobile game franchise Angry Birds, which has become one of the most successful mobile games of all time, with over 4 billion downloads and numerous spin-offs, merchandise, and a feature film.
In addition to the Angry Birds franchise, Rovio has also created other mobile games, including Bad Piggies, Battle Bay, and Angry Birds Evolution, among others. The company has also expanded beyond gaming, with licensing and merchandising deals, animated series, and theme parks.
Rovio has offices in several countries, including Finland, Sweden, China, and the United States. The company went public in 2017, and its shares are listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
