The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum that tells the story of the Royal Air Force (RAF) through its collections of aircraft, artifacts, and personal stories. The museum is divided into two sites: the London site, located in Colindale, London, and the Cosford site, located in Shropshire. The London site features a large collection of aircraft including many of the most famous RAF planes, as well as a number of interactive exhibits that allow visitors to learn about the history of the RAF and the people who served in it. The Cosford site features a collection of aircraft and artifacts, including many that are unique and not on display anywhere else in the world.
Both sites of the museum are free to visit and open to the public. The museum is committed to preserving the heritage of the RAF and educating the public about the history and role of the Royal Air Force in the world. The museum is supported by the Royal Air Force, the UK government and through donations from individuals, foundations and corporations.
