The Schwimmverband Nordrhein Westfalen (Swimming Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, or SV NRW) is the regional governing body for the sport of swimming in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is a member of the Deutscher Schwimm-Verband (German Swimming Association, or DSV), which is the national governing body for swimming in Germany.
The SV NRW is responsible for organizing and promoting the sport of swimming in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the regional teams and various domestic leagues and tournaments. It is also responsible for the development and oversight of swimming at the grassroots level, including youth clubs and regional training centers.
The SV NRW is headquartered in Düsseldorf and is funded through a combination of membership fees, sponsorships, and government grants. It is made up of a number of local swimming clubs and is governed by a board of directors elected by the membership.
