STS-125 was a Space Shuttle mission to the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) flown by Space Shuttle Atlantis. The mission launched on May 11, 2009, and was the final servicing mission to the HST. The primary objective of the mission was to repair and upgrade the HST to extend its operational life and improve its capabilities. The mission also included the delivery of supplies and equipment to the HST and the rotation of the crew of the HST.

The STS-125 crew consisted of seven astronauts, led by Commander Scott Altman. The crew also included Pilot Greg Johnson and Mission Specialists John Grunsfeld, Michael Massimino, Michael Good, Megan McArthur, and Andrew Feustel.

During the mission, the crew of Atlantis successfully performed five spacewalks to repair and upgrade the HST. They installed new instruments and replaced aging components, including the Wide Field Camera 3 and the Advanced Camera for Surveys. They also delivered more than 5,000 pounds of supplies and equipment to the HST.

The STS-125 mission was considered a success and helped to extend the operational life of the HST. It marked the fifth and final servicing mission to the HST and the final mission of the Space Shuttle program to visit the HST.
