STS-129 was a Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Atlantis. The mission launched on November 16, 2009, and was the twenty-first shuttle mission to visit the ISS. The primary objective of the mission was to deliver and install the S6 (S-six) Truss, the C6 (C-six) Truss, and the QD (Quick Disconnect) Flange Extension to the ISS. The mission also included the delivery of supplies and equipment to the ISS and the rotation of the crew of the ISS.

The STS-129 crew consisted of seven astronauts, led by Commander Charles Hobaugh. The crew also included Pilot Barry Wilmore and Mission Specialists Robert Satcher, Leland Melvin, Randy Bresnik, Mike Foreman, and Nicole Stott.

During the mission, the crew of Atlantis successfully delivered and installed the S6 Truss, the C6 Truss, and the QD Flange Extension to the ISS. They also delivered more than 8,000 pounds of supplies and equipment to the station and rotated the crew of the ISS, bringing back the Expedition 22 crew and delivering the Expedition 23 crew to the station. The mission included three spacewalks to perform maintenance and repair work on the ISS.

The STS-129 mission was considered a success and helped to further the construction and expansion of the ISS. It marked the final mission of the Space Shuttle program to carry a Truss Segment to the ISS.
