STS-132 was a Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) flown by Space Shuttle Atlantis. The mission launched on May 14, 2010, and was the twenty-fourth shuttle mission to visit the ISS. The primary objective of the mission was to deliver and install the Russian Mini Research Module 2 (MRM2), also known as the Poisk module, to the ISS. The MRM2 provided additional living and working space for the ISS crew and served as a docking port for Russian Soyuz and Progress spacecraft. The mission also included the delivery of supplies and equipment to the ISS and the rotation of the crew of the ISS.
The STS-132 crew consisted of six astronauts, led by Commander Kenneth Ham. The crew also included Pilot Dominic Antonelli and Mission Specialists Piers Sellers, Michael Good, Garrett Reisman, and Stephanie Wilson.
During the mission, the crew of Atlantis successfully delivered and installed the MRM2 to the ISS and delivered more than 9,000 pounds of supplies and equipment to the station. They also rotated the crew of the ISS, bringing back the Expedition 25 crew and delivering the Expedition 26 crew to the station. The mission included three spacewalks to perform maintenance and repair work on the ISS.
The STS-132 mission was considered a success and helped to further the construction and expansion of the ISS. It marked the final mission of the Space Shuttle program to carry a Russian module to the ISS.
