The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is the public transit agency that serves the city of San Diego, California. It operates a network of buses, trolleys, and light rail trains, including the San Diego Trolley, which is the second-largest light rail system in California.
The MTS is currently undergoing a trolley renewal program to refurbish and replace its aging trolley vehicles. The program began in 2014 and is expected to continue through 2022.
