The Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) is a research laboratory within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the United States Department of Commerce. It is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is part of the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR).
GLERL's mission is to improve understanding and prediction of the Great Lakes region's weather, climate, water resources, and ecosystems through the application of advanced computer modeling and data analysis techniques.
