Jurassic World Dominion is an upcoming American science fiction adventure film and the third installment in the Jurassic World franchise. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. It is set to be released on June 9, 2022, by Universal Pictures.
The film features returning cast members from the previous Jurassic World films, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jeff Goldblum, as well as new additions to the franchise, such as Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, and Dichen Lachman.
The plot of the film follows the events of the previous film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, in which the dinosaurs were released into the wild and are now living alongside humans. In Dominion, the dinosaurs are facing a new threat in the form of a genetically engineered hybrid dinosaur that is even more dangerous than any of the previous creatures.
Jurassic World Dominion is expected to feature more practical effects and animatronics than the previous two films, as well as new and innovative special effects techniques. The film is also being shot in various locations around the world, including Canada, Malta, and the United Kingdom.
