SSV Markranstaedt is a German football club based in Markranstädt, a suburb of Leipzig, in the state of Saxony. The club currently plays in the Regionalliga Nordost, which is the fourth tier of German football. The club was founded in 1911 and has had a number of successful seasons in the past, including winning the Saxony Cup in 1999 and reaching the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal, the premier domestic cup competition in Germany, in the same year.
