Total S.A., also known as Total Energies, is a multinational oil and gas company based in Paris, France. It is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, with operations in more than 130 countries. Total is involved in a range of activities including exploration, production, refining, and marketing of oil and natural gas, as well as the production of petrochemicals and other chemical products. In addition to its core business of oil and gas, Total is also involved in a number of other industries, including renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and biofuels, as well as advanced mobility solutions. The company is committed to driving the transition to a low-carbon future and has set a number of sustainability goals, including a target to become a net-zero company by 2050.
At May 28 2021 the resolution to change the company’s name from Total to TotalEnergies, thereby anchoring its strategic transformation into a broad energy company in its identity. In tandem with this name change, TotalEnergies is adopted a new visual identity.

Energy is reinventing itself, and this energy journey is ours. Our ambition is to be a world-class player in the energy transition. That is why Total is transforming and becoming TotalEnergies,” declared Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies.
This new name and new visual identity embody the course TotalEnergies has resolutely charted for itself: that of a broad energy company committed to producing and providing energies that are ever more affordable, reliable and clean.
