Jugendbundesliga Handball, also known as the Youth Handball-Bundesliga, is the top level youth handball league in Germany. It is organized by the German Handball Federation and consists of four regional divisions: North, East, South, and West. The league is open to both male and female handball players between the ages of 16 and 19.
Each division is divided into two groups, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs determine the division champions, who are then eligible to participate in the national championship round.
The Jugendbundesliga Handball provides young handball players with the opportunity to compete at a high level and helps to develop their skills and knowledge of the game. It is an important stepping stone for players who hope to eventually reach the professional ranks of the Handball-Bundesliga.
