The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) is a government agency in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) responsible for the development and regulation of the country's industrial and advanced technology sectors. The ministry was established in 2021 and is headquartered in Abu Dhabi.
The MOIAT's mandate is to promote the growth and competitiveness of the UAE's industrial and advanced technology sectors and to support the development of a knowledge-based economy in the country. To achieve this, the ministry works to create a favorable environment for industrial and technological development, to support research and development in these areas, and to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
The MOIAT is responsible for formulating and implementing policies and strategies related to the industrial and advanced technology sectors in the UAE. It also works to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in these sectors and to attract investment to these areas.
The MOIAT is led by a minister who is appointed by the President of the UAE. The ministry has a number of departments and agencies that carry out its various functions, including the Federal Authority for Industrial Development and the UAE Space Agency.
